First Sleepover Party With School Buddies

John was allowed to have 3 of his buddies over for a birthday party sleepover.  Pizza, grapes, juice, dart guns, football game, cake, ice cream, presents, Madden, pop corn and finally Mega Mind...all is quite downstairs  :-)

My Brave Girl!

Today John, Clare and I went to the mall to help out a couple of friends, and we left with a new girl!  When we were walking past Claire's Boutique, I asked Clare if she wanted her ears pierced..."yeah mommy but I need my doggie"  Then I told her it was going to hurt a little, "no mommy, I don't want to!"  While walking to another store, Clare asked, "how much will it hurt, can you show me?"  I slightly pinched her ear.  Then we walked past Claire's Boutique again, "mommy I do want to get my ears pierced!"   While Clare was waiting to get it done, John was picking out earrings for Clare...he was so cute, bring over different selection based upon her requests. I was sitting in the chair,Clare sitting on my lap while she was squeezing a bear, the guy told her, "I am going to count to 5 and after I say 5 you will have earrings in your ears."  With a audience watching, the guy started counting, "1....2....3".....then Clare got this priceless look on her face realizing it was all over!  Clare didn't shed 1 tear!  This little girl who was watching asked Clare, "did it hurt", her sweet response, "no not at all"    She left with 3 sets of new earrings, pink bag and a HUGE smile!

Now Every 6 Months

Luke had his allergist appointment today.  The doctor felt we finally have Luke's asthma under control!!!  He can start going now every 6 months for a follow up!  We can also stop his Pulmicort in June and restart back up in August unless he starts have coughing fits.  Luke has become such a trooper with his treatments, he will sit and hold it himself as long as he has doggie and watching Sponge Bob.

On to Ks

Clare is doing so well with her "fs" and s blends that she is moving on!!!  I am so proud of her!  Her fs are so natural now, every time I hear a "f" work it almost brings tears to my eyes!  Now it is kisses for Ks!!!!

Over Hearing a Wonderful Conversation

My Little Boy Is Now My Big Boy

Everyday Luke is doing something new, his latest is putting on his own shoes!  Gotta love when they have their shoes on the wrong feet.

Birthday Girl

Clare and I were upstairs in my bedroom...the TV was on and Celine Dion was singing happy birthday on a commercial.  Clare immediately stop and focused on her singing...after she was done, Clare said, "thank you"  it was hysterical!  She really thought Celine was singing to her but it was actually a commercial for cancer.

It was early in the AM and I told Clare to stop doing something and before I knew it Luke was chimming in, "now Clare...1,2,3,5,7..."

FIVE

Who is the birthday girl????  Clare is the birthday girl!  Who is the birthday girl????  Clare is the birthday girl!  Clare loved being the birthday girl today.  John loved picking out the perfect presents for Clare.  Luke kept asking, "mommy can I get this for my birthday?"  "Your a meanee!"  As soon as we got home for shopping, John had disappeared...and the next thing I knew, he was wrapping her presents!  What a sweet big brother!

I Don't Want to Miss School!

I never thought I would hear the words from my boy!  John told me today his eye was hurting...of course it was pink eye.  Thank goodness we have some drops at home.  I was trying to explain to John he couldn't go to school tomorrow and he was having a total melt down, "but mommy I want to go,I don't want to miss school!", John you aren't allowed to go until you are on antibiotics for 24 hours..."how about I go and if Ms Christensen says anything, I will tell her I forgot I had pink eye."  After10 minutes of melting down...I finally found out the real reason why...lets say it wasn't due to wanting to learn, he had big plans to trade his football cards!

Chuckie Cheese

Every night when putting Luke to bed..."mommy can we go to Chuckie Cheese tomorrow?"  He finally got his wish.  He was so overwhelmed at first, he kept running around in circles not knowing what to do first.  So when I put him to bed tonight..."mommy can we go to Chuckie Cheese?"  I thought for sure I wasn't going to hear that for at least 1 night!

Big Sister

Clare is soooooo cute, she is always telling me, "mommy I am never going to be a big sister!"  You are for Luke and Regan.  "But mommy, Luke won't let me help him."  " Mommy, would you like me to read Luke a book before his nap?"  After she leaves his room, "mommy, he wanted me to read him 2 books!"  We were going to go shopping with friends, "mommy, I will watch Luke for you!"  We are walking into the mall, "now Luke, you need to hold my hand when we are walking in the parking lot, now look to your left and right."  I just love how she is such a little mommy!

gLack of Sleep

Coughing up a lung and endless supply of boggiers started with John then Clare and last Regan and Luke together.  John never woke up in the middle of the night but can't say that for the others.  Luke and Regan had their very first ear infection.  Both ears for Luke but only the right for Regan.  Thank goodness for the daily Pulmicort treatments, this is the first time Luke didn't have an asthma attack with a cold.
