Idiot

We were in the car driving today to go to Columbia and a course watching a movie.  Sponge Bob was playing and all of a sudden John says, "mommy, I always thought idiot meant french fries."  I started to laugh so hard, "why did you think that John?"  John replied, "I don't know mommy, but that is what I always thought when I was like 4 or 5 years old.  I am always taken back by what their little minds are thinking especially John's mind.

Fall Leaves

I noticed something was different about Clare's hair, so I asked,"Clare did you cut your hair?"
"Yeah mommy with the white scissors, when grandma was here and you and daddy were at Key West"  Then I asked, "Did grandma see you doing it?"  Clare response was, "Grandma asked me where did this hair come from?"  And what did you tell grandma?  I told her," I don't know."  Of course I wonder what was going on in her head for her to want to cut it, "I wanted my hair like yours mommy!"  Not only does she want to be a mommy like me but also look like me...I wish she had higher inspirations!

Breakfast in Bed

John wanted to know if he could have breakfast in bed, since he never had breakfast in bed before.  Then John said, "Mommy I will make my breakfast but can you bring up the tray like I was never downstairs and still in bed."

Movie Night

At the end of Firehouse Dog...Clare says"I think I am going to cry and I don't know why!  I can't believe how emotional she is already at 4!  I remember the first time I started to cry and I didn't know why...it was over cutting onions at Mrs Miller's house.  Clare is always good for a laugh since you never know what is going to come out of her mouth.

Breakfast Sandwich

John was going to have one of his new breakfast sandwiches in the morning before school.  After lying in bed for a few minutes, John called,"Mommy!"  Once I entered his room, John said, "I have a 2 questions for you, 1...how big is the sandwich and 2...will the sandwich be ready as soon as I come down in the morning?"  I wasn't sure why all the questions...but I found out he was worried  he wasn't going to have enough time in the morning to eat it.  That is my sweet boy who's brain is always turning  and worried about being late for school...I just hope it keeps up!
